4:45 — 5:00 It's a Work of Heart - Brian Lawson, with Sandata will share some heartfelt praise and gratitued on the success of the Electronic Visit Verification (EW) program of Idaho.
5:00 — 5:30 The Art of Attention to Detail - Attention to detail is a skill worth improving. A successful Direct Care Professional must be highly observant and detail oriented. Dr. Glorfield will share strategies to hone and improve your skills in paying attention to the detail.
Dr. Cyndia Glorfield, holds a PhD in counselor education and counseling and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. She is also an adjunct professor and has a passion for working with students pursuing their degree in counseling.
5:30 — 6:00 It’s not a party without a Smoothie – Meal preparation is often a key element of providing direct care. Homestyle Direct and the team from J.R. Simplot have come together to share a food demonstration on how easy it is to make smoothies with a variety of fruits, vegetables and other nutrient-rich ingredients, making them a great source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
6:00 — 6:30 Dinner & Direct Care Professional Recognition
6:30 — 7:00 Direct Care Panel – The nature of direct care can limit opportunities for direct care professionals to network and learn from one another. Learn from a panel of three direct care profesionals as they engage in a facilitated discussion on the barriers, challenges, and opportunities in the direct care landscape.

7:15 — 8:15 Traits of a Great Direct Care Professional – Will Kezele is a master teacher, national speaker and a licensed counselor who will share his insight and wisdom on the unique and special personality traits of those that choose to serve others for their career. Learn strategies to enhance the soft skills necessary to provide high quality direct care, including patience, compassions, humor, cooperation and establishing boundaries, and knowing when to ask for help. These skills are critical for the Direct Care Professions "toolbox" to support high quality services and promote resilience in this workforce.
